Frequently Asked Questions

Power:

A standard 9V DC power adapter is required - centre negative 2.1mm barrel (boss style). There is no battery operation in any heist pedal.

A high quality isolated power supply is strongly recommended and many “technical issues” can be solved or avoided by using one. Try not to use “daisy-chain” style power supplies for multiple pedals.

Do not use more than 9V DC! If you do ……….

Warranty and Repairs:

Sometimes thing break. This is sad. If the issue is faulty parts or a manufacturing error (gasp!), heist will repair the unit under the 1 year limited warranty within North America. Contact heist via the webpage to arrange an assessment. The customer will be responsible for shipping and duties and if the repair is covered under the warranty, it will be repaired and heist will ship it back to you. International customers may still be eligible for warranty repairs, but are responsible for all shipping and duty costs, please contact via the webpage. 

Damage from abuse, accident or any improper usage of the unit (including, but not limited to, liquids damage, incorrect power supply, physical damage to knobs and pots) will not be covered under the limited warranty. 

The warranty is non transferable and only offered to the original owner and requires proof of purchase.

Opening the unit will void the warranty. 

Repairs out of warranty will be shipped both ways at the customers expense and repairs will begin after an assessment and payment is received. There is a minimum work bench fee for repairs out of warranty. 

Returns:

What? You don’t like it? Not everyone clicks with every pedal, it’s true -and heist wants you to love your heist pedals. If purchased from a brick and mortar shop - talk to them about it. They’ll be cool if you are. If purchased direct from heist - there’s a 14 day return policy. Contact heist via the website first and a return and refund process can start. Just be sure that it is still in brand new condition showing no signs of use and with all original packaging intact and we will issue a refund. Liquid, Smoke or Vape damage will be considered as used/damaged condition and are ineligible for return. Customers will be responsible for shipping and duty fees and a small 10% restocking fee unless otherwise arranged via email. International sales (outside of North America) are final. 

International Sales:

Please note that international sales may be subject to import charges and/or duties. These are not covered in the shipping costs from heist and it is the responsibility of the customer to understand and pay these costs. International sales are final and not eligible for the 14 day return policy. 

Unique:

Each heist pedal is hand etched and assembled. As such, there may be slight irregularities or unique markings from the materials or from this bespoke technique, and are to be considered part of the handmade charm of your unique pedal.
